Upneeq is an FDA-approved eye-lifting drop that helps lift low-lying eyelids or acquired blepharoptosis. Acquired ptosis is a common medical condition caused when the muscles in the eyelids stretch and weaken. This common condition can reduce your field of vision and can lead to long-term vision impairment when driving, reading, and looking around when left without treatment.

By delivering a radiofrequency laser to heat your skin gently, TempSure Envi increases your skin’s temperature for a defined amount of time. This heat triggers the body’s natural reaction to produce new collagen and elastin. These new collagen fibers are tighter and denser. As a result, excess skin in the lower or upper eyelid is reduced. Elastin, although making up a small amount of our skin, helps skin to snap back when pulled or stretched.
If you are suffering from Dry Eye Syndrome, TempSure Envi stimulates clogged tear glands and revives an optimal surface for the eye. After your treatment at Coal Creek Family Vision, we will provide recommendations and supplements for patients to improve the quality of their tears.
It is recommended that you will need at least 1 treatment per every decade of life to get optimal effect in reducing meibomian gland dysfunction. For example if you are 34, you will need at least 3 treatments. In order to get ideal cosmetic effects you will need 1 treatment per every decade of life plus an extra treatment.
For example if you are 52, you will need at 5-6 sessions.
It may also be recommended to not just do around the eyes, but the forehead as well to help improve the eyelid function and the appearance of a wider eye.
Sessions are spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. Patients will typically notice improvement after 2 to 3 sessions. Skin will continue to improve over the next 6 to 12 months.

We offer discounts if paid up front for all sessions, or if you prefer you can pay as you go.

Radiofrequency does not cure dry eyes, but helps to kickstart the meibomian glands and ocular surface.
Our goal is to ensure that the meibomian glands are preserved and that the meibum flowing out of those glands is optimized.
After the procedure, it is still recommended that you continue with the prescribed ocular surface regimen. The hope is that after multiple treatments, you can reduce the amount of maintenance needed.
In some cases, you still may need a radiofrequency touch up overtime.

Upneeq is a topical eye drop that is instilled in one or both eyes to help make your eyes appear more awake by activating the muscles in your upper lid.
It is instilled no more than once daily but does not have to be used every day.
You will want to ensure you are well hydrated starting at least three days prior to your appointment.
No local, oral, or systemic pain medications should be used prior to or during your treatments.
All jewelry, makeup, facial lotions, eyeliner and eye shadow should be removed from the treatment area prior to your appointment – Please arrive early if you need time to remove any products from the treatment area.
Wrinkles located on cuts, wounded or infected skin can not be treated as this could promote infection and injury.
Slight discomfort may be experienced due to heat sensitivity while undergoing treatment.
Typically, this discomfort is mild and temporary during the procedure localized within the treatment area. During the treatment you should feel warmth and heat. We ask that you provide ongoing feedback to the doctor performing your treatments to adjust as necessary.
You may feel an electric shock similar to a static discharge in a dry environment as the electrode makes contact or is removed from the skin. A common comparison is the static shock you might feel when touching something after dragging your feet across carpeting.
Beard stubble should be thoroughly removed prior to treatment as remaining stubble may accentuate shock sensations.
Studies indicate any potential side effects of TempSure System are usually treatment-site related and include mild discomfort during the procedure localized within the treatment area. Mild swelling and redness may occur which typically dissipates within 2 to 24 hours.
A regimen to moisturize and soothe skin for one-week post-treatment is recommended.
3 weeks after treatment, new collagen starts to reform. The newly generated collagen and elastin are more uniform after 3 weeks up to 6 months.
As a reminder, the results can continue to improve even after treatments have concluded.
TempSure System equipment may present a hazard to patients with implanted devices or pacemakers.
Since ongoing feedback by a patient during the procedure is required, if you have nerve insensitivity to heat anywhere in the treatment area or neutral pad area – typically your back; you should not be treated with the TempSure System.
TempSure System treatments have not been studied for use specifically on pregnant/nursing patients, patients with autoimmune disease, diabetes, nor herpes simplex.
There is the possibility that additional risk factors of radiofrequency skin treatments may be discovered. The results of performing radiofrequency treatments in combination with other treatments is unstudied and unknown. We recommend completing any outside procedures’ full cycle – including recovery times – prior to starting your radiofrequency treatment plan.
