Matsuda

Old World Technique, New World Expression.

In a world that emphasizes immediacy, we choose to anchor ourselves in traditions of craftsmanship and thoughtful execution. The distinctly Japanese approach of combining handcrafted techniques and innovative technology guides our philosophy of experimentation and is unmistakably Matsuda. Each finished creation is an art object unto itself — as pleasing to the hand as it is to the eye.

Experiments in Expression Since 1967

Innovation and experimentation have been a part of Matsuda’s DNA since Mitsuhiro Matsuda founded his fashion house in Tokyo over 50 years ago. Silhouette

Exceptional aesthetic often arises from the combination of two seemingly opposing poles. Silhouette eyewear has always succeeded in mastering this art: Achieving unparalleled lightness through inner strength. To remain true to oneself and to constantly set new impulses. To create timeless design that also meets the spirit of the age.

Here in Austria, we have a long tradition of producing classic and innovative eyewear that goes right back to 1964. Our production philosophy – with its craftsmanship and emphasis on manual work – is akin to that of a cottage industry. The result is unique eyewear that will delight and surprise you in terms of its innovation. Excellent design and high-quality materials create a clarity of design that expresses the individuality of the people who wear them.

Unlimited possibilities in terms of shape, color and design express what makes a pair of Silhouette spectacles unique: your personality.

Cutler & Gross

Cutler and Gross was founded on the principle that when it comes to eyewear, it’s not just about how we see the world, it’s about how others see us. For over 50 years now, they have been at the forefront of optical design – as trailblazers, disrupters and pioneers whose legacy has been much imitated, but never surpassed.

A brand built on friendship, it was established by opticians Mr Cutler and Mr Gross in 1969. Thanks to word of mouth, what began in London’s Knightsbridge as a small but innovative bespoke service soon became a fully-fledged mecca for artists, rock stars, writers and royalty. Together, the pair created the perfect balance between taste and technicality, quickly cementing their reputation as industry leaders in eyewear.

By making glasses fashionable, they altered the faces of generations. With every carefully sculpted curve, line or shape, their elegance, character and magic have the power to transform people. Cutler and Gross didn’t just make glasses – they were optical architects in pursuit of a product so intrinsically iconic that no external logo or branding was necessary.

Made in Italy by experienced craftspeople who champion the art of making every frame individually, our methodology breaks the mold – in more ways than one. Hand-crafted excellence, the finest raw materials and a seemingly endless enthusiasm to manufacture styles that celebrate the clarity of vision has made sure Cutler and Gross remains as relevant today as ever.

Prodesign Denmark

How Prodesign was founded on the firm belief that eyewear can be so much more than its function. Ever since our beginning in 1973, we’ve combined a deep expertise in optics with a strong focus on design – shaping and refining every frame until the expression is just right.

It’s in the intersection between skilled craftsmanship, profound knowledge and visionary ideas that the right frame is created. Our collections are broad in variety, yet always special. Innovative and distinct or simply classic design – because working with no middle ground is our signature. Throughout time we’ve proven that iconic eyewear can arise solely from working with quality materials with slight refinements – or a bold willingness to dare and do the unexpected.

To us, every frame should tell a story. Yours.

What began as a Classic Collection of seven styles, has evolved into over 125 styles of sunglasses, all of which are polarized and protect from 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays, and over 125 styles of eyeglasses.

The original office is located in Lahaina, Maui, where all sunglass styles are still designed and tested.

Persol

Persol is the symbol of an extraordinary Italian story which began in Turin in 1917, when the optician and photographer Giuseppe Ratti invented Protectors, state-of-the-art glasses designed to provide the ultimate in comfort, protection and vision for aviators and sports drivers. His new sunglasses were adopted by air forces around the world and worn by the poets, aviators and champion automobile and motorcycle racers of the day including Gabriele D’Annunzio, Juan Manuel Fangio and Francesco De Pinedo, on his famous flight from Europa to the Americas.

The Persol brand – an acronym of “per il sole”, “for the sun” – immediately forged the identity which it has kept ever since: a vocation for excellence and outstanding quality, supreme craftsmanship and attention to detail, technological innovation and style.

In its 100 years of history Persol has created many bestselling models. With their original, unmistakable design, some have gone on to become outright icons.
